Two men are suing the builders of the Large Hadron Collider (you know, the world's largest super-collider? the one that EK is working on?) because they think that once this puppy is fired up it has the potential to rip apart the universe. yeah, apparently thats something you can sue someone for. although i'm not sure what they hope to gain from such a lawsuit. perhaps the continued existence of the universe? after reading the article all i could think of was the Reed Richard's discovery of the Negative Zone, a universe existing at the opposite end of universal polarity. just imagine the possibilities of another dimension. we'd have another place to store all of our junk. another place to explore and ultimately conquer (USA! USA!). in Marvel's recent "Annihilation" story arc, our universe, the Positive Zone, has begun to overtake and absorb the Negative Zone. could the activation of the LHC be the catalyst for such an event to take place? if so, EK, you had better get ready for the Lord of the Negative Zone, Annihilus:
'cause he gonna git ya. (sidenote: read Marvel's "Annihilation", its good sci-fi action.)
'cause he gonna git ya. (sidenote: read Marvel's "Annihilation", its good sci-fi action.)What if the LHC creates some sort of portal to transport a small group of scientists and soldiers, or Jerry O'Connell, to explore alternate universes a la "Sliders" or "Stargate" (the movie, not that terrible series)? EK, you're on the groundfloor for all this potential action. i mean, this is a comic book hero's wet dream. you could get in there the night before its activation and flip the switch early and give yourself crazy molecular super powers.
you're going to have to in order to stop whats waiting for us on the flip side.

If we create a black hole I will make sure I call you guys so you have time to stand in a door way or get under the bed!
Man, I just hope you don't open any inter-dimensional portals that unleash horrible dragons that are immune to bullets and helicopters.
P.S. Raddest post re: the Marvel Universe.
