HULK SMASH!

if you haven't seen the new HULK, you had better. seriously. IRON MAN was good and all, but HULK was everything i wanted out of a summer blockbuster. its fighting, and pseudo-science, more fighting, explosions, more fighting, and liv tyler's giant lips (uncredited). EK, remember what you said about KING KONG? "every time the movie starts getting a little boring and you just wish KONG would just go crazy and tear shit up, HE DOES." well, every time i wished that someone would smack that puny edward norton around, they did, and he spilt his pants. even better, there's no wasted time on an origin story that we already know. 

there are some nice nods to the original TV show, and a nice set-up the Leader to show up in a possible sequel.  there are discussions about the super soldier serum that was being developed in WWII, setting the stage for the inevitable Captain America movie. the latest buzz on the internets has either Leonardo DiCaprio or Brad Pitt as the Captain. Well, call me un-American, but i think Daniel Craig would be perfect. i don't care if he's not American. i'd rather see a decent actor who looks the part, rather than an American actor with one (or neither) of the two qualities.
