Mini-Comic Snubbed.

well, joel, did you?

The mini-comic, "The Band at the End of The World" with story by J.McDub and art by yours truly, was not the winner of the Isotope Excellence in Mini Comics Award on Saturday night.

This guy won. I don't have anything to say about that really, except that I wish I had a digital copy of our book to serve as a comparison. His took 2 years. Ours: about 45 days of sporatic attention. Joel's texted reply Saturday night probably sums it up best:

"Fuck 'em just to see the look on their face, fuck 'em just to see the look on their face."

Well, it's good to know that a script I wrote in one night, and Greg hand drew in about a month, can still hold its own and be lightyears ahead of its time.

as a group we have always excelled in the (results)/(time & effort) metric of performance

As well as the fact that our (results)/(hecks given) is always a divide by zero error.

i just left the comic shop after talking with the proprietor and staff. they told me that ours was in the "final selection" during the judging process, but they couldn't tell me that during the competition.

next year the weak will be destroyed and EATEN.
